Our History

K'Ton Ton in 1965.

K'Ton Ton has been the pride and joy of the Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana for over 60 years. 

K'Ton Ton first opened in the 1950s in Gary. After some time, we moved to Hammond, and finally to the little house on 45th Street in Highland, where we stayed for 25 years! In 1985, we were one of the first, and only, area preschools to achieve NAEYC accreditation. We started as just a preschool, and over the years, added a Mommy 'n Me program, Monday's Pre-K program, after-school activities, Me "Two", and more! 

In 2003, we moved to our new building on Progress Avenue in Munster, where we are currently located. Today we have programs including our youngest Kindermusik classes up through our 5-day Pre-K program. ​
